Thousands of visitors are drawn here each year to explore the USS COBIA WWII submarine, tour Rogers Street Fishing Village to view relics of famous shipwrecks, or sail across Lake Michigan on the S.S. Badger. We love company and invite you to explore 20 miles of spectacular Lake Michigan shoreline. From the pristine lakeshore corridors with its stunning parks, beaches and marinas, to historic downtowns and outdoor band concerts, Manitowoc-Two Rivers is a maritime treasure to visit as well as a quality place.

Lake Michigan Carferry - S.S. Badger

Explore a living maritime legend on the S. S. Badger, largest carferry ever to sail Lake Michigan. Make waves on your next tour experiencing a century-long tradition of carferry service on the four-hour cruise between Manitowoc Wisconsin, and Ludington, Michigan. USS COBIA WWII Submarine/WI Maritime Museum - "Dive into History"

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is the Smithsonian’s home in Wisconsin and the largest maritime museum on the Great Lakes, as well as “homeport to USS COBIA, the nation’s most completely restored WWII submarine.  The museum is recognized as one of the premiere maritime museums on the Great Lakes.  A $6 million expansion added the two-story 67-ton “Chief Wawatam” triple expansion steam engine, interactive Children’s Water Room, and spectacular harbor views from the 5,000 sq. ft. roof deck.
Tour Time: 2 hours, 1 hour museum only Group Rate: $10; age 6-15 is $5; 6 and under is free; Complimentary tours for driver and escort.

Lake Michigan Fishing Charters

Relax and enjoy Lake Michigan sport fishing at its finest. All fishing and safety equipment provided. Boat and crew are fully insured. Captains are United States Coast Guard licensed. We provide fish cleaning and packing. MANITOWOC and SHEBOYGAN COUNTY
Tour Time: Full-day, half-day, can be customized to a couple hours
Cost: Minimum of six on a boat, cost varies between $60 and $70/person for half-day. Group rates available.

Rogers Street Fishing Village

A historic museum village and heritage park located on the banks of the East Twin River, the traditional headquarters of the Two Rivers’ commercial fishing fieet. Listen to great stories about the ghosts and shipwrecks of Lake Michigan.
Tour Time: 30 minutes
Cost: $2/person; Complimentary tours for driver and escort.

Natural Ovens Bakery

Savor the wonderful aroma at Natural Ovens Bakery as you sample fresh warm bread and watch the mixing and baking of our 55,000 packages daily. Guided tour of bakery and discounted prices in our store. Bakery also features an extraordinary stained glass entrance and thousands of flowers.

Pinecrest Historical Village

Features 28 historic buildings with period furnishings and special museum exhibits that interpret farm and village life in Manitowoc County during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Special themed, catered meals are available.

Group Rate: $5/groups of 20 or more; $6/group less than 20;
Complimentary tours for driver and escort.

Rahr - West Art Museum and Victorian Mansion

A Victorian mansion built in 1891 by Manitowoc pioneer Joseph Vilas.  The museum features changing exhibitions and an important collection of contemporary American art. The museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is accredited by the American Association of Museum.

Cost: Free; $10 docent fee for groups.

Washington House

An 1850’s inn/saloon in Two Rivers, houses nine museums, an old-fashioned ice cream parlour, ballrooms with rare murals, and greeters dressed in period costumes. Old-time piano music and group singing available with advance reservations.

West of the Lake Gardens

This six-acre estate of the late Ruth and John West is located along Lake Michigan’s shoreline. Created in 1934, the grounds feature a rose garden, sunken, formal and Japanese gardens. Excellent group photo opportunities.

CAPITOL CIVIC CENTRE

 

Vintage 1921 restored vaudeville house featuring professional touring
artists, Broadway shows, music, theatre and dance. Home to 10 local

WOODLAND DUNES NATURE CENTER

 


A 1,200 acre wildlife sanctuary, home to hundreds of species of plants and
animals. We offer more than 6 miles of nature trails, an interpretive

gift shop. Bird Breakfast celebrates the spring migration.

Renovated 1922 County Teachers College features new exhibits on local

Whispering Apple Orchards is a family oriented farm market in a relaxing
country setting with farm animals, an orchard and a corn maze. The McIntosh

Energy Center

The world of energy awaits visitors at the Point Beach Energy Center. Displays and programs educate visitors about the generation of electricity through tours of a simulated nuclear reactor, a view of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, and other hands-on displays and computer games.
